About
I firmly believe that if we all shopped more slowly and mindfully and dared to listen to ourselves, we'd achieve more and spend less - buying the things that are right for us, and less of them.
The Inspired Shopper is a book I wrote about how to become an amazingly effective shopper through mindful shopping.
When I started writing the book I stumbled across the exciting world of ethical shopping and thrifting on the internet. I continue to be amazed at the imaginative and creative abilities of frugal fashionistas, in repurposing, freecycling, upcycling and downsizing! (See the blog for some links.) This shopping journey has been great fun, and it's still going.
The focus of my blog is budget shopping and shopping smarter, as well as ethical and thrift shopping but sometimes it's about not shopping at all. Like all of us, I'm a work in progress. I'm trying to shop more ethically and getting better at it all the time. Because I love fashion I tend to write about it, but I want this blog to be relevant to both men and women. Please drop me a line if you've got topics you'd like me to cover. And please feel free to comment on the blog!
I hope you enjoy my continuing shopping discoveries.
